| Why invest in United Way?
Your donation stays close to home.
When you give to United Way, your money stays right here in Windham
County, supporting local health and human service agencies.
It works in ways that make a difference you
can see.
United Way donations fund programs and services that exist to meet
the needs of our community. Decisions about where donations go are
based on what is currently needed to keep the quality of life in
Windham County one we feel safe in and proud of.
It’s easy to make a donation that makes
a real difference.
One donation helps to fund not one or two agencies but the priorities
of Windham County based on current data. Funds are directed to numerous
partner agencies throughout Windham County.
Many places of employment offer payroll deduction allowing employees
to budget their donation over the course of a year. Some employers
even match employee donations dollar for dollar!
We work to create a network of services.
United Way is an integral and essential part of our community network.
We work with businesses, schools and other service organizations
to leverage local resources and multiply the impact of every dollar.
We facilitate partnership, collaboration and the sharing of knowledge
and resources among agencies.
We lead the way.
When you give to United Way, you join a family of donors and volunteers
whose reach extends throughout our region. Together, we are uniquely
positioned to provide leadership to ensure the most important needs
are met. We stretch precious resources to make a difference throughout
our community. Our overhead costs are low. Our standards are high.
We put more of your money to work, so when you give, you feel good
about making a local difference.
