Fifth Annual Handbags for HOPE Event Benefits Early Educators
 
BRATTLEBORO, VT –United Way of Windham County (UWWC) is excited to announce that tickets are now available for our annual event, Handbags for HOPE, to be held on Thursday, May 10th, from 5:30pm – 8pm at the VFW Hall in Brattleboro, VT. 
 
Grab your friends for a fun night out, featuring a silent and live auction. Delicious food will be provided by local women-owned businesses, with a cash bar available. This event not only features awesome bags of all types, but also local goods, packages, and experiences, like yoga, spa treatments and woodworking! 
 
From a night at a local bed and breakfast to a woodworking lesson to amazing plant centerpieces, this event has something for everyone! Select auction items can be previewed at www.facebook.com/UWWindham.

UWWC’s Fund for Quality Early Education provides grants to early childhood educators and caregivers. To date, the Fund has made over 100 grants totaling $129,000 to providers in Windham County. The Fund was established in 2008 to address the need for quality early education and to provide opportunities for Windham County providers to access continued education, collaborate with other providers, and to engage in the STep Ahead Recognition System (STARS), Vermont’s quality rating.
 
The mission of the United Way of Windham County is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community.
