Brattleboro, VT - United Way of Windham County’s Kids in Coats Fund provides winter outerwear to income – eligible children in Windham County ages 0 – grade 6, having replaced the Reformer Christmas Stocking program. This year we received applications for 670 children and were not able to meet all the need due to limited funds. In this season of Valentine’s Day love, show your love for your community and help us reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 with a gift to the KIC Fund. In the words of a mother who used Kids in Coats vouchers this year, “You will never know how much of a blessing, a difference and a help that this wonderful program means to families.”
To help you spread love to your community, UWWC has put together a list of creative fundraising ideas that are a lot of fun and will help keep kids warm! These ideas will help you give back to the Kids in Coats fund whether you are an individual, group of friends, business/civic organization, faith community or school. The ideas include scavenger hunts, cookie swaps, birthday benefits, bake-offs, and many more! United Way of Windham County will provide promotional materials to help make your efforts a success.
